The cost is $9.00. Please send this in a labeled envelope. I need it no later than next Tuesday! This will cover the cost to get into the patch and the cost of a big pumpkin! We will keep the pumpkin here and decorate it for Halloween! It sounds like a lot of money but the day is sooooo fun! They have so much to do there. Parents are more than welcome to come. I have no idea how much it cost for parents. I know it will not be more than $6.00 each. Please send a sack lunch and two drinks for that day. Resealable drinks are the best so we can reseal them and put them back in the ice chest.

This week we are on the letter A. Please add the words big and in to your sight words! Please practice these daily. We will be making apple pies on Friday! Yummy! We use our sandwich machine and make it the easy way! :)

We will be writing the number 6 this week. That might be kind of difficult. Please practice this ahead of time.

We will write it on Wednesday! We will be going to the Coleman Theater for fire prevention week on Wednesday afternoon. I am sorry that parents can not go to this. Seating is limited. Sorry!

Please send back the red shirt we wore on Friday after you wash it. We didn’t have time to take it off! Don’t forget the name tag also!

P. We are planning on going to Mazzio’s Thursday to eat Pizza and have fun afterwards at the park! What a fun way to learn the letter P! The price for the pizza is $4.00.

We will be writing and learning the number 5 also! We all know 0-4 now! I am very excited about that!

We will have conferences on Tuesday and Thursday night. Please make the time to visit with me. Each conference last for 15 minutes. I look forward to visiting with you.

Please add the words I and like to your sight word list. I will give you a set of flashcards at conference time.

We have learned the letters and sounds for l, o, g, h, and t.  We have been learning how to write and  recognize our numbers 0-4.  We have also been saying and exercising our sight words.  For a complete list of our 35 sight words please click on the tab for sight words.  These are words that need to be learned for first grade.  We will be using these words in our journal writing also.

Please remember to read book to your child.  Write the books down and send them back to us in the front pocket of your child’s folder.  This is a great way to end your day with your child.  They will have sweet dreams about the book you shared.
